Raymund Gaufredi

Raymund Gaufredi OFM (also Raimundus or Raymond Godefroid ; † 1310 ) was Minister General of the Franciscans from 1289 to 1295 .

Raymund Gaufredi sympathized with the spirituals and tried to protect them from persecution. For example, he made sure that the group around Angelus Clarenus was released from prison. He was removed from office by Pope Boniface VIII , who was a staunch opponent of the spiritual.
