Recep Yıldırım (ATB)
Recep Yıldırım is a personality of Islam in Germany and in Europe of Turkish nationality. Until May 2011 he was chairman of the Association of Turkish Cultural Associations in Europe (Turkish Avrupa Türk Kültür Dernekleri Birliği), short form Avrupa Türk Birliği (ATB).
Yıldırım is a member of the Islamist-nationalist party Büyük Birlik Partisi (BBP, German Party of Great Unity or Great Unity Party), the mother party of the Association of Turkish Cultural Associations in Europe. He ran for the BBP in the 2015 parliamentary elections as a member of the 3rd constituency of Istanbul, but was not elected.
Recep Yıldırım was one of the signatories of the Amman Message ( Amman Message ), where he is listed among the signatories from Germany.
