The financial institution accounting regulation , abbreviated RechKredV , is a German legal regulation that is binding for all credit and financial services institutions . In § 21 para. 4 RechKredV also the legal conditions for savings determined.

RechKredV is involved in the implementation of the “Bank Balance Sheet Directive ” of December 8, 1986 ( Directive 86/635 / EEC , OJ No. L 372 p. 1) and the “Branch Directive ” of February 13, 1989 ( Directive 89/117 / EEC , OJ No. L 44 p. 40) involved in German law . Your authorization is based on Section 330 Paragraphs 1 and 2 HGB .

In the accounting law of credit and financial services institutions, the RechKredV replaced the "Ordinance on Forms for the Structure of the Annual Financial Statements of Credit Institutions" (last announcement of September 14, 1987, Federal Law Gazette I p. 2169 ), the accounting guidelines of the Federal Banking Supervisory Office that were valid until then ( BAKred) as well as some regulatory regulations for savings banks and public credit institutions . The provisions of RechKredV were first on the financial statements of the fiscal year apply 1,993th

The RechKredV contains as plant three mandatory forms by all credit and financial services institutions, regardless of their legal status and their business orientation to be used. The particularities of the respective institute groups are then taken into account in numerous footnotes. There is one form for the annual balance sheet and two forms for the profit and loss account . For the income statement, you can choose between “account form” (form 2) and “staggered form” (form 3). In the case of the "staggered form", a distinction is made between the result of normal business activity (section 19) and the extraordinary result (section 22). Receivables and liabilities according to maturity are not to be broken down in the balance sheet itself, but in the notes to the annual financial statements of the credit and financial services institutions ( Section 2 RechKredV).
