Warrior (unit)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Recke , also Reke , was a measure of length for linen in Stettin and the Mark Brandenburg .

The Recke measure was the basis for calculating wages and additives for bleaching .

In the Mark Brandenburg, especially around Sorau , the term ball (from small balls ) was used for a fabric or piece of canvas instead of a stretch. The name Recke is derived from the pole over which dyed or bleached fabrics were hung to dry.
