Emergence

The bank was created in January 2001 from a merger of the following banks:

  • Record Bank (formerly SEFB)
  • Dipo Spaarbank
  • De Vaderlandsche Spaarbank (daughter of De Vaderlandsche Verzekeringen )
  • Sodefina (credit bank of De Vaderlandsche Verzekeringen )

The following banks were added later:

  • Spaarbank Westkrediet (April 2003)
  • AGF Belgium Bank (May 2004)
  • Mercator Bank (mid 2005)
  • Eural NV (Oct. 2005)

Products

The bank is aimed at private customers, small and family businesses. Insurance has also been offered since the beginning of 2006. The direct bank has branches in Evere , Ghent and Liège .

The bank has around 750 employees and around 750 self-employed banking advisors.
