Red Hand Commando

The Red Hand Commando (German about: "Rothandkommando", named after the red hand in the Ulster coat of arms ) or RHC for short was a unionist paramilitary organization founded in Ireland in 1972 , which worked closely with the Ulster Volunteer Force . Just a year after it was founded, it was declared illegal. The organization received the greatest support in parts of Belfast and in County Down . In 2007 it ceased to exist as a paramilitary organization.
