Reflection was a thrash metal band founded in Lünen in 1992 , which split up in 2013. Their style is described by "Rock Hard" and "Heavy oder was !?" as old school Thrash Metal of the 1980s.

history

In 1992 guitarist Timo Lehmann and his fellow musicians at the time founded the band in Lünen . Just one year later played Reflection in the opening act of Accuser . In 1994 a new singer, Markus Radola, was added to the band. The style developed more and more into today's direction, which, however, did not please all members. The band then temporarily separated in 1996. Radola and Lehmann tried to find new members, which they did not succeed until the end of 1999. Two new musicians were found with the second guitarist Heino Drescher and the bassist Siggi Kwapich, and six months later they found the right fifth man in the form of Stephan Bäumer on drums. It was a demo recorded CD, which in May 2001 as Blind Rage - EP was released. At the drum demo listening session in 2001, she was chosen from over 1300 band recordings from all over Europe among the top 20 in the hard'n'heavy category. Several appearances in North Rhine-Westphalia soon followed . In February 2002 the demo EP Trapped Insanity followed , after which several labels showed interest. However, they found working with these labels more of a financial burden, so they waited a little longer. In the meantime the company had gained a worldwide reputation, the first CDs were being sent abroad and even overseas . Several Internet magazines offered their songs for download, and they achieved good online chart positions. In the meantime they toured all over Germany, there were also foreign offers, which, however, could not yet be accepted due to financial costs. It was decided to record the first full-length CD, which was then completed in mid-2003 under the name Made in Hell . The new songs were more complex than the old material, but still Thrash Metal. In February 2004, they signed a contract with STF Records , which then released the album Made in Hell on June 14, 2004 . In August 2005 Stephan Bäumer had to leave the band for professional reasons. After two weeks a replacement was found in Kev Siepmann. Siepmann only stayed a year, however, before he was replaced by Boris Frenkel. In October 2009, Reflection signed a deal with Fastball Music, who released the album Advertising Violence on February 21, 2011. In August 2010 the former member Stephan Bäumer (drums) became an integral part of the band again, but left them again in 2012. At the end of 2012, singer Markus Radola also decided to leave the band after almost 18 years. The main reason was the constant change on the drums and the resulting stagnant musical development and regression of the band. For a short time, Andreas Krengel started as a drummer, with whom they had played their first rehearsals and a concert in 1999. Since there was no adequate replacement for the microphone, Reflection was disbanded by the rest of the band on August 1, 2013.
