Health food hall
The Reformhaus Halle - House of the Citizens Movement - is the seat of various organizations in the fields of politics, environmental and nature protection, peace, youth, education and refugee work. The house is run by the Association Reformhaus Halle e. V. operated.
history
Since September 1989 politically active groups such as New Forum , Democracy Now and SDP have also emerged in Halle . The meetings took place almost exclusively in apartments or church rooms. Driven by the Monday demonstrations throughout the GDR, representatives of the New Forum received shortly after approval in October 1989 that a house would be made available to the groups. After renovation work, eleven groups were able to move into the so-called health food store in January 1990. This is also where the New Forum newspaper and the Reformzeitung , a weekly supplement for the political groups in the freedom of the time, came into being .
