Reformed Church of Sonvilier

The Reformed Church of Sonvilier is a country church in the municipality of Sonvilier in the Bernese Jura .

history

The church was built in 1831/32 a little above the town center. Renovations took place in 1932 and 1985.

Building description

The classical church has an octagonal floor plan and is designed as a transverse church . The tower, crowned with a hood, is located on the narrow western side of the church. The interior is oriented towards the pulpit , which is flanked by two modern leaded glass windows . A U-shaped gallery based on the model of the church in Wilchingen spans three sides of the church and is also oriented towards the pulpit.
