Regulation

Under Regelation (lat. Re-gelare = something thawing) is the pressure dependence of the phase transition between solid and liquid state of aggregation substances whose melt a higher density has as its solid phase ( density anomaly ).

The regulation causes z. B. in the case of water, the liquefaction of the ice when the pressure rises and re-freezing when the pressure drops.
