Regular operation (process engineering)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In process engineering, regular operation is the operating phase for which the plant is designed.

background

Regular operation is defined as the normal operation of a system up to decommissioning without the phases of commissioning and trial operation. It can run both regulated and manual and is part of the continuous operation; in the latter case, phases of violation of the permit can also occur.

The first start of regular operation coincides with the successful completion of commissioning. The arrival and shut-down of a plant is part of the control operation.
