The term regular tempo disorders , also called tempo anomalies , summarizes abnormalities of the bleeding rhythm in the menstrual cycle . A distinction is made between menstrual periods that are too rare and those that are too frequent. The rule type disorders, which denote disorders of the bleeding pattern , must be distinguished from this . Bleeding disorders can also be combined with type and tempo disorders.

The regular pace disruptions include:

  • Oligomenorrhea , a bleeding that is too rare (31-day cycle)
  • Polymenorrhea , a bleeding that is too frequent (cycle less than 24 days)
