Rainwaters

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The marsh marigold is one of the rain floods.

As Regenschwemmlinge refers to plants whose capsule or follicles only open when they moisture water absorb and swell the fruit walls thereby. The ripened seeds are then washed out of the fruit containers by the falling rain. Typical rainworms are the marsh marigold and the winterling . Even the stonecrop , which stands at more dry sites, spread his seed through this mechanism.

The use of rainwatering is a sub-form of ombrochory , the spread through raindrops, which in turn is a sub-form of hydrochory , the spread through water. The article Propagation Mechanisms of Plants gives an overview of the propagation mechanisms of plants .
