The Regio cervicalis anterior (Latin for 'front neck region') or middle neck triangle is one of the regions of the neck . The unpaired region lies in the center of the front of the neck and is bounded on both sides by the sternocleidomastoid muscle . The anterior neck region is further divided into:
- the unpaired kin triangle ( Trigonum submentale ) and the paired one
- Lower jaw triangle ( Trigonum submandibulare ),
- Carotid triangle ( Trigonum caroticum ) and
- Muscle triangle ( Trigonum musculare ).
