Muscle Triangle (Engl. Muscular triangle )

The Trigonum musculare (Latin for 'muscle triangle', syn. Trigonum omotracheale ) is a sub-region of the anterior cervical region ( Regio cervicalis anterior ). Both muscle triangles meet in the midline of the neck. Upwards, the muscle triangle is delimited from the submental trigonum by the hyoid bone , to the side by the sternocleidomastoid muscle and from the anterior abdomen of the omohyoideus muscle and downwards by the handle of the sternum ( manubrium sterni ).
