Regions of the Northern Territory

The seven regions of the Northern Territory in Australia :

• Arnhem Land
• Barkly Tableland
• Central Australia / Alice Springs Region / Red Center
• Darwin region
• Katherine Region
• Top end
• Victoria River

The top end is also referred to as a region. It includes Darwin and the Arnhem Land region. Central Australia is used for the Central Region. A number of deserts and ecological regions include areas of Western Australia , South Australia and Queensland in addition to areas of the Northern Territory . This includes

• Simpson Desert
• Tanami Desert
