Regnery Publishing, Inc. is an American book publisher specializing in conservative literature. It was founded in 1947 and is since 2014 part of the group Salem Communications in Washington, DC publisher is Marjory G. Ross .

history

Regnery Publishing was founded in 1947 by Henry Regnery (1912–1996). In the early years, conservative intellectuals like Russell Kirk (The Conservative Mind), William F. Buckley, Jr. (God and Man at Yale), and Whittaker Chambers (Witness) published on Regnery. After the first successes in the 1950s, the series Regnery Gateway was founded, which today comprises more than 200 titles. From 1993 to 2014 the publishing house belonged to Eagle Publishing (today: Salem Eagle ).

Leading conservative journalists such as Ann Coulter , Newt Gingrich , David Horowitz , Laura Ingraham , Ed Klein , Mark R. Levin , David Limbaugh , Michelle Malkin , Dinesh D'Souza , Mark Steyn and Donald Trump published at the publishing house . Numerous books have made it onto the New York Times bestseller list in recent years . In addition to mostly conservative works, the imprints Regnery History , Little Patriot Press, Regnery Kids, Gateway Editions and LifeLine Press are also published.
