The Reichenau Evangelistar is a parchment manuscript from the writing and painting school of the Reichenau monastery . The Evangelistar belongs to the so-called Eburnant group and was created around 970. It belongs to the manuscript holdings of the Leipzig City Library (signature Ms. CXC), which are on deposit in the Leipzig University Library .

The manuscript comprises 201 sheets of 30.5 × 22.5 cm. In addition to the full-page, artistic initials , the blue is particularly impressive.

The wooden cover of the book cover, deprived of its former metal and precious stone jewelry, still bears a well-preserved Byzantine ivory carving from the eleventh century in its central recess .
