The company was founded in 1930 by Hermann Lorenz. In 1961 Günter Lorenz took over the business from Reifen Lorenz. The company is now run by the third generation of Hermann Lorenz.
The company headquarters are in Lauf near Nuremberg. The company was originally founded in Parschnitz in the Giant Mountains. Over time, not only the range of products and services, but also the branch network was expanded. The company now has 22 branches in Bavaria, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
