history
The community was formed on January 1, 2010 from the voluntary amalgamation of the communities of Meineweh , Pretzsch and Unterkaka .
The merger took place against the background of the municipal area reform in Saxony-Anhalt and the minimum number of 1000 inhabitants in municipalities that belong to an association municipality, as stipulated in the accompanying law.
The community of Meineweh is part of the Wethautal community .
After the citizens with the name Anhalt Süd of the newly formed community, which has no relation to the historical state of Anhalt , repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction, it was renamed Meineweh on August 1, 2011 .

coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved by the district on March 30, 2012. It was designed by the Magdeburg local heraldist Jörg Mantzsch .
Blazon : "In silver a red rose, in a three-pass decorated with three green ginko leaves and accompanied by two green ears."
The colors of the Meineweh congregation are green - white.
The districts of Meineweh and Unterkaka have legitimate coats of arms, which have lost their status as emblems, but are still used by the towns as symbols of communal identity and self-expression. It was the wish of the new community of Meineweh to combine the symbolism of the coat of arms of the places bearing the coat of arms with reference to Pretzsch. Furthermore, the merger of the three places should find a representation in the coat of arms. The heraldic implementation took place by choosing the ginkgo leaf from the coat of arms of Meineweh and placing it in the three pass to represent the three districts. The center point is the blooming rose with reference to the coat of arms of Unterkaka, whereby the rose is now depicted as a heraldic (not natural) rose. The two ears of wheat, which do not represent a specific type of grain, are based on the farming village of Pretzsch with its agriculture.
flag
The flag of the municipality of Meineweh is striped green and white (1: 1) (horizontal shape: stripes running horizontally, longitudinal shape: stripes running vertically) and centered with the municipal coat of arms.
