Schnaudertal is a municipality in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt . It belongs to the Droyßiger-Zeitzer Forest Association .
The community of Schnaudertal was formed on January 1st, 2010 from the voluntary amalgamation of the communities of Bröckau and Wittgendorf . The river Große Schnauder is named after it . The merger takes place against the background of the municipal area reform in Saxony-Anhalt and the minimum number of 1000 inhabitants in municipalities that belong to an association municipality, as stipulated in the accompanying law.

The Schnaudertal area is located in the southernmost tip of the Burgenland district, southeast of Zeitz. The district Hohenkirchen is the southernmost place in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The southern municipal area borders on Thuringia in the west, east and south (districts Altenburger Land and Greiz ). Two arms of the Schnauder flow through the area of the municipality .

The coat of arms was designed by the municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch and approved by the district on October 1, 2010.
Blazon : "In silver two oblique-left wave bars, accompanied by a red millstone at the top and two crossed red hammers at the bottom, the center of which is covered with a red chisel."
The symbols refer to the large and small Schnauder, to the once numerous mills and quarries.
The colors of the church are red and white.
