Lanitz-Hassel-Tal is a municipality in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt . It was formed on July 1st, 2009 from the voluntary amalgamation of the communities Möllern and Taugwitz . The community belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde An der Finne , which was also formed on July 1, 2009 (as the first association community in the state of Saxony-Anhalt).

The community lies between Apolda and Naumburg (Saale) on the ridge of the Finns . In the south the municipality borders on Thuringia . The name of the place is the Lanitztal, through which the Lißbach flows, and the Hasseltal, through which the Hasselbach flows.
