Reiner Eckel

Reiner Eckel (born September 19, 1953 in Köthen ) is a German SPD politician and was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt from 1998 to 2002 .

Life and work

After finishing secondary school in 1970, he went to vocational school and trained as a steel construction fitter (skilled worker). He then worked as a locksmith and welder from 1972 to 1991. From 1991 to 1996 Eckel was an exempt works council . Then he worked as a pedagogical employee until he moved into the state parliament.

Eckel is married and has two children.

Political party

Eckel is a member of the SPD. For many years he was chairman of the Zeitz local club .

MP

From 1994 to 2004 Eckel was a city councilor in Zeitz. From 1998 to 2002 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt. There he represented the Zeitz constituency and was a member of the Committee on Economics, Technology and European Affairs.
