Cleanliness regulations

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The cleanliness regulation was a water law planning instrument according to § 27 WHG old version for the purpose of maintaining or improving the water quality.

By issuing a cleanliness regulation, it was possible to forbid certain substances to be fed into surface waters , to stipulate that fed substances must meet certain minimum requirements or to prohibit any other adverse effects on the water quality.

The instrument of the cleanliness regulation has become obsolete due to the implementation of the Water Framework Directive through an amendment to the Water Management Act in 2002 and has been deleted from the law.
