Museum shipyard Flensburg
The museum shipyard Flensburg was founded in 1996 at the Flensburg harbor . Between 1996 and 2001 she moved several times. But since 2001 it has been back where it was founded ( Schiffbrücke 43). It exists as a non-profit GmbH and is also supported by a development association .
In the museum shipyard in Flensburg , sailing and work boats are built and restored as they were seen 100 to 200 years ago in the Baltic Sea region. Everyday life in the shipyard in the past is presented and courses in dealing with the old tools are offered. In addition, young people keep building their own ship as a project.
