Reinhard Dorn (architect)

Reinhard Dorn (born June 21, 1934 ; † June 28, 1982 in Nuremberg ) was a German architect , non-fiction author and university lecturer.

Life

From 1971 to 1980, Dorn was head of the city church building office of the Evangelical Lutheran City Church Association of Braunschweig before he took up a professorship at the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences, which is now the Georg Simon Ohm Technical University of Nuremberg . In 1982 he was dean of the architecture faculty there . At the awarding of the Peter Joseph Krahe Prize by the city of Braunschweig on December 6, 1982, the “entrance building and the forecourt design of the main cemetery”, which he designed, took second place. In addition to his own non-fiction books, he also wrote several reviews in architecture magazines such as 1981 on Fritz von Osterhausen's work Georg Christoph Sturm - the life and work of the Braunschweig court architect in the journal for art history .
