Reinhard Church in Hanau-Kesselstadt

The Reinhard Church was founded in the former village of Kesselstadt , a district that is now part of Hanau , in 1734 under the reign of Count Johann Reinhard III. - hence the name - built as a Lutheran church . It also contained a classroom and a schoolmaster's apartment.

The Reinhardskirche was the second church in Kesselstadt. The medieval village church was reformed at the end of the 16th century . It stood in the area of today's Friedenskirche . With the Hanau Union of 1818, this double denominational structure became superfluous. The church has now been abandoned for worship purposes. In order to be able to further differentiate the church buildings previously named after the denominations, that of the "Lutheran Church" was now called " Reinhardskirche ". In 1837–1838 a council room , a school room and a teacher's apartment were built. In 1976, the building became the town house rebuilt.
