Reinharting (Munich)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Reinharting is a district in the north of the Bavarian capital Munich . It is located in the city districts of 11 Milbertshofen-Am Hart and 12 Schwabing-Freimann and, when Domagkstraße meets Ingolstädter Straße, extends from the last street on both sides out of town, i.e. to the north.

First mentioned on June 16, 1270 June as Reinhartingen. It has belonged to Munich since 1913, making it the city's 13th oldest district.

Meaning of the name: Deriving from the name Reinhart would be obvious. Since later (for example 1670) it is always only a forest, which is written Ron-hart, Ran-hart, Rein-hart and so on, more likely a forest (Hart) on the Rain or on the border (Grenzwald) .
