Reinhold Boschki

Reinhold Boschki (* 1961 ) is a Catholic German practical theologian . Boschki has been a full professor and head of the Department of Religious Education, Kerygmatics and Church Adult Education at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Tübingen since 2015, succeeding Albert Biesinger .

Scientific career

Reinhold Boschki studied Catholic theology and educational sciences as diploma courses at the universities of Tübingen, Münster and Boston (USA). He did his doctorate in fundamental theology with Johann Baptist Metz in Münster on "Theology and Anthropology in the Work of Elie Wiesel ". From 1994 to 1998 he worked as a pastoral worker and religion teacher and was given a teaching position for religious education at the Ludwigsburg University of Education . From 1998 to 2004 he was employed at the University of Tübingen . There he completed his habilitation there in 2003 in religious education on the subject of “Relationship as a key concept in religious education. Foundation of a dialogical-creative religious didactics ”with Albert Biesinger . In 2004 he became a deputy professor for religious education at the University of Bonn and was professor for religious education , religious adult education and homiletics at the Catholic Theological Faculty there from 2006 to 2015 .

Theological teaching

Reinhold Boschki practices religious education as a borderline science between theology and social sciences and emphasizes the terms "subject" and "relationship". Furthermore, he deals with the Christian-Jewish dialogue and speaks of a "religious education after Auschwitz". The terms “learning to remember” and “culture of remembrance” are central.
