Albert Biesinger (born August 1, 1948 in Tübingen ) is a German theologian .

education and profession

Albert Biesinger grew up in Rottenburg am Neckar . From 1967 to 1974 he studied Catholic theology in Tübingen and Freiburg . In 1974 he was an assistant at the pedagogical- catechetical seminar of the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Freiburg . In 1975 he was a lecturer at the Rottenburg seminary . In 1982 he received his habilitation and in the same year received a professorship for catechetics and religious education at the University of Salzburg , where he was ordained permanent deacon in 1983 . Also from 1989 to 1991 he was Dean of the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Salzburg.
