Travel march

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Travel marches are marches to transfer a troop from one place to another during peacetime , so they do not serve tactical or strategic considerations.

For the arrangement and execution of travel marches, unless special exercises are combined with them, only disciplinary, sanitary or economic considerations are decisive. The greatest daily performance on peace marches is typically 20 to 25 km, with the fourth or fifth day usually being a day of rest.
