Remel (measure)

Remel , also Rämel , Rähmel , Ramel , was a German weight measure whose use was limited to northern Germany , the Bremen region . It was a term for bundle. The measure was used at harvest. A jug of sowing should produce at least one remel or a staircase of 20 bottles of flax, but could also be 1 ½ remel.
