history
The R11 RSASS was originally developed under the name RSASS . After Remington Defense (formerly Remington Arms ), the Advanced Armament Corporation and other manufacturers were taken over by the Freedom Group Holding company , Remington and AAC developed the rifle in cooperation with JP Enterprises on the basis of the JP LRP-07 . The weapon received the additional designation R11 in early 2012 to assign it to Remington's R series.
As of January 2020, the R11 was no longer offered.
technology
The R11 is a gas pressure loader with a rotating head lock in caliber 7.62 × 51 mm NATO . It is based on the technology of the AR-10 . The cocking lever was moved to the left side of the weapon. It is delivered with a Leupol Mk-4 rifle scope as standard, but can basically be fitted with all rifle optics with a Picatinny mount.
