Rems-Murr-stage Leutenbach
The Rems-Murr-Bühne Leutenbach e. V. (spelling: rems-murr-bühne Leutenbach e.V.) is an amateur theater association that has its headquarters in Leutenbach and, in addition to performances in the home community, goes on tour with its productions.
The association has existed since February 1981 and currently has around 50 members. The stage understands "amateur theater" to be a form of non-professional theater (honorary actors) that differs from amateur theater in that, on the one hand, a professional director is employed and, on the other hand, it is so elaborately staged that several performances in the surrounding area are necessary to cover the cost. The double premiere of the current play takes place every year in autumn in Leutenbach (Rems-Murr-Halle). Then the stage goes on tour. The ensemble played u. a. in Stuttgart, Waiblingen, Backnang, Leonberg, Nürtingen, Winnenden, Welzheim, Bad Buchau, Bad Boll, Eislingen (Fils), Schwieberdingen, Urbach, Remshalden, Weinstadt, Steinheim, Mundelsheim, Winterbach, Erdmannhausen and Cleebronn. In 1989 the group performed "Entaklemmer" three times in Hungary.
Since 1996 the work of two directors has shaped the group's productions: Monika Hirschle and Volker Jeck .
In 1998 (“Onder Dach ond Fach”) and 2001 (“Schiller ond a Viertele”) the rems-murr-stage was shown on Sunday evenings on Südwestrundfunk (SWR television). In April 2010 the group received the dialect theater award of the state of Baden-Württemberg " Oskarle " (today: Lamathea ) in two categories (best dialect stage and best actor).
