René Poyen
René-Georges Poyen (born October 5, 1908 in Paris ; † February 4, 1968 there ) was a French actor who became known as a child actor between 1912 and 1925 .
Life
Poyen joined Louis Feuillades Filmcrew at Gaumont as a toddler in late 1912 . Feuillade created the role of Bout-de-Zan , a child in adult clothing , for Poyen . He was in the movies Bébé adopte un petit frère and Bébé, Bout de Zan et le voleur successfully with the child star Clément Mary ongoing Bébé introduced series. The new competition caused the break between Feuillade and Mary's father and meant the end of the Bébé series at Gaumont. The new Bout-de-Zan series was also a crowd puller and ran with more than 50 films by 1916. Poyen was also cast in small roles in Feuillades series films The Vampires (1915-1916), Judex (1916-1917) and L'Orphelin de Paris (1924). After Feuillade's death in 1925, Poyen's career came to an end, only in 1932 he got another job in two unsuccessful films.
