Renate Hubig
Renate Hubig (born January 8, 1945 in Hettstedt ) is a former German television announcer.
Life
Renate Hubig was an announcer and presenter for GDR television . In 1963 she was selected for training as program spokesperson and made her first announcement two years later. In 1973 she and one of her daughters fled to West Berlin in the trunk of her boyfriend's car. Due to the policy of détente , she was not given the opportunity to appear on the screen at the SFB at that time . Instead, she worked as a news anchor and program announcer until 1995.
