Rene Coimbra

Rene Coimbra (born September 23, 1964 in São Gabriel da Cachoeira ) is a Brazilian local politician of the state of Amazonas .

Career

Coimbra is the administrator and member of the Partido Comunista do Brasil (PC do B). In the local elections in 2012, he was elected prefect of the city of São Gabriel da Cachoeira with 30.68% of the vote . His term of office lasted from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2016. In the local elections in 2016, he received only 6.9% of the votes and had to cede the office to his successor, Clóvis Moreira Saldanha des Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT).
