Renunciation

The Renunziation (verb: renunzieren ) is an international legal act by which a subject of international law declares a waiver. The term comes from Latin and is also used in courts when - in a renunciation letter - the submission for a further hearing is waived. Likewise, the renunciation of a monarch , heir to the throne or pretender to the crown is referred to (see abdication ).
