Repco

Repco is a manufacturer and primarily a wholesaler of auto parts in Australia and New Zealand with over 4000 employees in around 450 stores. With a range of over 175,000 spare parts, annual sales of around $ 900 million are achieved. The company was founded in 1922. In the 1960s, Repco was also the import company for the products of General Motors and the producer of a successful health Formula 1 - engine .

The Australian designer Phil Irving provided the company's light metal V8 with completely new high-performance heads in 1966. With this engine he equipped the vehicles of the Brabham racing team of his compatriot Jack Brabham , which he helped to his third drivers' world championship .
