UN Security Council resolution 1253

The United Nations Security Council Resolution 1253 was a resolution that the United Nations Security Council adopted on 28 July 1999 at its 4026 session without a vote. With the resolution, the Security Council accepted the Commission's recommendation on the admission of new member states to the United Nations, which concerned the admission of the Kingdom of Tonga into the United Nations.

With the resolution, the body recommended the admission of Tonga to the General Assembly of the United Nations . This recording was made on September 14, 1999.
