The UN Security Council Resolution 476 was on 30 June 1980 by 14 votes to none against, with one abstention (United States) by the UN Security Council adopted. Israel is urged to end the occupation of the Arab territories it has occupied since 1967 , including Jerusalem , and to refrain from anything that would change the "character or status of the Holy City of Jerusalem".
Once again, the observance of resolutions 252 (1968), 267 (1969), 271 (1969) and 298 (1971) and 465 (1980), which have already been issued in this regard, is urged.
