  • The resolution A / ES-10 / L.22 of the UN General Assembly is a UN resolution on the status of Jerusalem . It was prepared by Turkey and Yemen and adopted in the 10th Emergency Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly . The meeting took place on December 21, 2017.

    The resolution is a reaction to the place on December 6, 2017 recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by the USA and the announcement by the US government, US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to want to Jerusalem embarrassed.

    The resolution affirms under Article 1, "expressing its deep regret over recent decisions regarding the status of Jerusalem":

    “That all decisions and actions purporting to have changed the appearance, status or demographic composition of the Holy City of Jerusalem are without legal effect and null and void and must be reversed in compliance with the relevant resolutions of the Security Council, and demands in this regard on all states not to set up diplomatic missions in the Holy City of Jerusalem in accordance with Security Council resolution 478 (1980). "

    Among the states that voted for the resolution were Germany , Finland , France , Great Britain , Norway , Sweden , Switzerland , Spain , Portugal , the five BRICS states, all Arab states and large parts of the African continent .
