Resor državne bezbednosti
The Resor državne bezbednosti ( Serbian - Cyrillic Ресор државне безбедности ; department of State Security), short- RDB (РДБ) also simplifies državna bezbednost (Државна безбедност; State Security), short- DB (ДБ) called, was the secret police of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and was on Founded March 13, 1991 as the successor to the SDB ("UDBA") .
The RDB, headquartered in Belgrade, was subordinate to the Yugoslav Ministry of the Interior . In July 2002 the RDB was dissolved and on August 1, 2002 the Bezbednosno-informativna agencija (BIA) was founded as Serbia's secret service .

Yugoslav Wars
During the wars of Yugoslavia under the RDB director Jovica Stanišić (* 1950) various paramilitary units such as the " Knindže ", the Serbian Volunteer Guard and the " Scorpions " were set up by or with the help of the RDB, which were responsible for numerous war crimes against non-Serbian people were responsible and were subordinate to the RPV. The " Red Berets " set up in 1991 officially became a unit of the RDB in 1996. Their last commander was the former Foreign Legionnaire Milorad Ulemek "Legija" (* 1968), who as a member of the " Zemun clan " is said to have initiated the assassination of the Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić (1952-2003).
