Rete Adriatica

Rete Adriatica ( RA ; German Adriatic Network ) was the name of one of the three major railway networks in Italy at the time, which was operated by the Società Italiana per le strade ferrate meridionali (SFM). At the time, it comprised most of Italy from northern Italy to Apulia and Calabria , where it touched the catchment area of ​​the Rete Mediterranea ("Mediterranean network"). According to the yearbook of the Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Trade , the Rete Adriatica comprised 5602 kilometers of routes in 1896. The administrative center was based in Florence

The Rete Adriatica existed from 1885 to 1905 and was transferred to the Ferrovie dello Stato by legal decree that year together with the other state networks .
