The Retreat Bluffs are around 100 m high rock cliffs on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands, divided into three sections by narrow tongues of ice . They rise up in front of the Stwosz Icefall at the head of Legru Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it 1998. name derives from the fact that the cliff only as a result of the retreat ( English retreat ) of Stwosz-icefall came to light.
