A rescue dog squadron is a disaster control unit that specializes in searching for people using trained rescue dogs .

Rescue dog teams from different aid organizations are organized differently, but can go into action together at any time and thus look for and find people across organizations. The common feature for all relays is that they consist of rescue dog teams . As a rule, either special trailers or boxes in station wagons serve as means of transport for the search dogs.
