Rescue medal on ribbon (Free State of Anhalt)

The rescue medal on ribbon was donated on September 18, 1925 by the Anhalt State Ministry and could be awarded to anyone over the age of 18 who rescued another person at their own risk or was able to avert significant damage.

The medal is oval and shows on the front a horizontal wall with four battlements and in the middle an arched gate, on which the Anhalt bear can be seen striding. Under the wall the inscription FREISTAAT ANHALT . The back of RESCUE FROM DANGER to read.

The award was worn on a dark green ribbon with dark pink stripes on the left chest.
