The 1st team was represented in the 1st basketball league for several years . For economic and infrastructural reasons, she twice failed to exercise her athletic right to participate in the basketball Bundesliga. The two vacated places were taken by the newly founded teams Frankfurt Skyliners and RheinEnergy Cologne . Today the SOBA Dragons Rhöndorf play in the 2nd Bundesliga North.
Great successes are still celebrated in the youth sector.
