rhein-main volley was a volleyball club in Rüsselsheim, whose men's team played in the 1st Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga South .

history

At the end of the 2006/07 season, the clubs TuS Eintracht Wiesbaden and tg 1862 Rüsselsheim , which occupied the first two places in the second division at the time, decided to unite their teams and start with one team in the first division. Rhein-Main volley ended the first season in 11th place and was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. After the 2009/10 season, the second division team returned from rhein-main volley to tg 1862 Rüsselsheim.

Bundesliga

The newly founded club started in the first Bundesliga for the first time in the 2007/08 season, but was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga South.

DVV Cup

The Hessians reached the quarter-finals in the DVV Cup in 2007/08.

Venue

The home games were played in the Walter-Köbel-Halle (today "Großsporthalle") in Rüsselsheim, which can hold 2,000 spectators.
