Rhenish-Westphalian magazine for folklore

The Rheinisch-Westfälische Zeitschrift für Volkskunde is a publication on folklore , regional studies and social history .

It was founded in 1954 by Karl Meisen and Bruno Schier as an organ of the Rhenish Folklore Department of the Institute for Historical Regional Studies of the Rhineland at the University of Bonn and the Folklore Commission in the Provincial Institute for Westphalian Regional Studies in Münster .
